Pre-order Terms

Pre-orders are the core of Our business. Please read these terms carefully before paying a Deposit — by placing a Pre-order, You accept them.

Definitions

Company ("We", "Us", "Our") refers to Diecast Silk Road.
Goods refer to the die-cast scale models and related items offered for sale on diecastsilkroad.com.
Order means a request by You to purchase Goods from us.
Pre-order means an Order placed for Goods that are not yet in stock and are sourced from manufacturers or authorised vendors against a Deposit.
Deposit means the initial part-payment made to place a Pre-order.
Balance means the remaining amount payable on a Pre-order (product price minus Deposit, plus shipping where applicable).
First ETA means the first estimated arrival date shown on the product page when You placed the Pre-order.
You means the individual or entity placing an Order.

1. Two-payment structure

A Pre-order requires (a) a Deposit at the time of placing the Order, and (b) the Balance when the Goods arrive with us or are confirmed ready for dispatch to us. The Deposit amount and price are shown on the product page.

2. Balance payment

We will request the Balance either:

(a) when the Goods arrive with us, or
(b) when the manufacturer or vendor confirms the Goods are ready for dispatch to us — in this case, the Goods typically reach us (and are then dispatched to You) within 30–45 days of Your Balance payment. This timeline is an estimate and may vary with international freight and customs.

You must pay the Balance within 14 days of Our request. If the Balance is not received within 14 days despite a reminder, the Order lapses, the Deposit is forfeited, and We may release the Goods for sale to others.

3. No cancellation

Pre-orders cannot be cancelled after the Deposit is paid. We place confirmed, paid commitments with manufacturers and authorised vendors based on Your Pre-order and cannot recover those amounts if You withdraw. If You choose not to complete Your purchase, the Order will lapse under clause 2 and the Deposit will be forfeited.

4. ETAs are estimates

Estimated arrival dates are based on information from manufacturers and vendors. Manufacturers may revise release dates due to production, licensing, shipping or other factors beyond Our control. A revised ETA is not grounds for cancellation or refund, except as provided in clause 5.

5. Severe delay — full refund

If the Goods have not arrived within 12 months of the First ETA, You may request a full refund of all amounts paid for that Pre-order, without any deduction. We may also, at Our sole discretion, offer refunds earlier than this in individual cases of significant delay.

6. Production cancellation or supply failure — full refund

If the manufacturer cancels production, or Our vendors are ultimately unable to supply the Goods despite Our reasonable efforts to source them from alternative suppliers, We will issue a full refund of all amounts paid.

7. Pre-order images are for reference only

Before official release, manufacturers may provide prototype or reference images that can change in final production. The final product is as officially released by the manufacturer. Differences between reference images and the final released product are not defects and are not grounds for refund or return.
