This model depicts the one-off Porsche 917/20 in the plain white livery it wore on its debut at the Le Mans Test Weekend, carrying race number 20. The same car was later repainted in the famous butcher's-diagram livery as #23 for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it earned its nickname: the "Pink Pig".
A note on the product title
The title of this product is listed exactly as supplied to us by the brand. Historical records indicate that the Porsche 917/20 made its debut at the Le Mans Test Weekend in April 1971, not 1970. Development of the car was only approved a few weeks after the June 1970 Le Mans race, and it raced only in 1971.
